Mice ate human feces for the maker of Oreo cookies.
We wish it wasn’t true. But it is.
The maker of Oreo has paid experimenters to force mice to eat human feces before killing them in gruesome tests that have nothing to do with human health.
PETA US discovered the Oreo maker’s pointless “nutritional science” experiments on animals include tormenting countless animals by:
• Force-feeding mice feces from obese women and a diet high in saturated fat, then killing them
• Force-feeding human feces to mice, feeding them a chemical and a diet high in saturated fat, then killing and dissecting them
• Force-feeding human feces and glass beads to mice and feeding them a diet high in saturated fat
• Feeding rats a mixture of chips, crackers, and candies; force-feeding them glucose; and repeatedly taking their blood

Don’t be fooled: Oreo’s maker, Mondelēz International, instituted a limited animal testing ban for its products and ingredients after hearing from PETA US in 2018. However, the company left a big loophole in its policy by saying that it would “only engage in Animal Testing … when it is needed to advance fundamental knowledge in nutritional science.” The cookie manufacturer is trying to mislead the public by saying that it “do[es] not test [its] products on animals,” yet it funded the above-mentioned tests on animals for curiosity-driven “nutritional science.”
The company can stop the public backlash its receiving over its animal testing by joining PETA US’s revolutionary Eat Without Experiments program, which makes it easy for consumers to see which food and beverage companies do or do not test on animals. We won’t rest until the company agrees to end its cruel experiments on mice and other animals.
Please urge Mondelēz International, maker of Oreo, to stop testing on animals and join PETA US’s Eat Without Experiments program.
